why does one use it on public forums?(ghost and Harry)
does one actually teach this writing style?(if yes, why?)
One doesn't, but one has never used it... until now and I feel silly writing it. |

One feels confused. One shouldn't flummox the other one... |

In MY opinion, one can use "one" when talking generally, for example "one finds, when one visits Izmir, that the traffic is terrible....", I might teach this usage. I do not accept, or would ever teach, the usage one sees on this forum where authors use it for their own experience and even refer to themselves as "it".
Discuss. |

one gets highly offended when we cannot use the ROYAL we to talk about one, and by the way the traffic in izmir is certianly NOT horrible... one is highly suspicious about these singularly unsubsiantiated onenesses |

So we agree then?
Maybe it's terrible rather than horrible? |
