Erm...advice????
Okay.....come earlier than that or you will finance a missile defense system.
Other than that, what kind of advice do you want? Can u have mornings off? Probably. Can u live in Panciao or TuCheng? Definitely.
Edit: Oooops. He said east, didn't he? Forget that Panciao, TuCheng stuff.

Do a search for "adults", "GVO", "Berlitz" or the name of one of the other schools that teach adults. The links will have discussions that will give you other names of schools. Those seem to be where the evening classes are. A search through the past three months of Dave's and Tealit's ads should give you information on most of the schools.
You might also contact the one or two recruiters that are recommended (Reach to Teach, Dewey) and give them a list of your wants.
The area you want to work is called (depending on the whim of the moment) Nan Kang, Nangang, or some variation, you might also run that through the search, just for kicks. The blue line goes directly to the Main Station where there are many schools. I wouldn't rule it out as an area to work.
If you want to work fewer than 14 hours, try Berlitz, they give everyone who works for them an ARC. Even if you want to work 14 hours and no more, make sure your future employer understands very clearly when you are available and where you are willing to work.
I wouldn't try for a contract before I came but I would do the research.
The first time you ride the MTR buy a pass. Spent 1000ntd. It should last you a week or two if you're spending a lot of time traveling to schools. It's good on the busses too.
Good luck
