Does anyone know of a good international school where I could find a job teaching biology?

I was just thinking someone may have taught English in an international school that they could recommend.

Are you a certified teacher? Even if you have a Ph.D in bio, you can't teach at "good" international schools unless you're certified.

Why would a biology teacher want to work in China?

What language do you expect to be using in class?

What cultural or climate preferences do you have? n

My degree is in Wildlife Science, and I have an English teaching certification. When I was in South America I saw many schools that used English in classes, and I have a good friend who graduated from one of these schools in Japan. I am looking around for English teaching jobs all around, but biology is my main interest and wanted to see if there were any good options for that area. I don't have any particular cultural or climate requirements. I am very interested in languages and cultures in general and do very well adapting to different cultures. As to why I would want to go to China, I am interested in going everywhere and have never been to Asia. For me, a "good" school right now would just be one where I am not treated awfully. I don't need great pay or lots of benefits, I am a pretty adaptable person.

Try checking out the ads at www.tieonline.com

You will need to purchase a subscription (online is only $29 per year), but the number of jobs listed world-wide is HUGE - and all at International Schools.

Steppenwolf, my co-worker teaches biology. Her biology course is the exact same as it is in our home province. Every year an inspector from the ministry of education comes to visit. The students get a high school diploma from our home province. I'm not in China, but there are at least five similar programs in China.
