I'm starting to feel strongly led to Latvia, I generally go by this than any hard facts I pick up along the way. Advice can be very helpful but also very personal. I tend to think you are attracted to a place for a reason.
However, having said that, I could use a little, er, advice...
I was wondering why so few job seem to be posted at www.tefl.com when there is a shortage of teachers in Latvia.
I am familiar with International House and will contact them shortly, but can anybody in the know give me any school info, perhaps as much as names and email addresses, if it doesn't waste your time?

Simple enough it's because it's relative. There are probably one tenth of the number of schools as there would be in a comparative Western City and one thirtieth of the teachers. So don't come to Riga expecting the same wide range of schools as you will find in Italy or else you'll be seriously disappointed. You could try some of the following
