...or is it with one "F"????

I was thinking about settling there, and does anyone have any info about wages being any lower there for ESL teachers than anywhere else in the country?

Just Curious,

Were you thinking of settling there because of the drug trade? Or are you now doubting whether you should settle there because of the drug trade?

Aacpulco wages are fairly low, and while in line with other small markets, there's a higher cost of living to contend with there. One can only cover expenses there, and frugally at that.

Acapulco has seen problems lately, including shootouts between the cops and a rival drug cartel (local police are the other drug cartel under siege). It's started to affect tourists, though only in isolated incidents. T'is a shame. I understand Comandante Calderon has sent the military in.

You would have more chance with no teaching experience of finding a paying job off the beaten path than you would in a popular tourist area.
