Just wondering how accessible (cost, desire to allow outsiders, etc.) Muay Thai gyms are generally in Japan. I don't know where I'll be, but I would like to join and continue training if possible, does anyone have experience with this? Like how to find a gym, or what gyms they go to, stuff like that.
Thanks |

Hey Frakceylons, I think it will help if you found out where exactly you will be in Japan. Either way, there are tons of Muay Thai clubs in Tokyo. There is a chain of MMA/Shooto schools called Paraestra. They offer BJJ, MMA, and kickboxing. Often they have a Muay Thai program. I know the Pararestra Kichijoji and Paraestra Machida have good Muay Thai programs.
I recommend checking out this website: http://www.mma.tv/tuf/index.cfm?FID=1&a=219&TID=0
On the left hand side click on the link that says World Forums. It should expand and include a whole bunch of international MMA forums. Click on the Japan link and post your question there. They will be able to better steer you in the right direction. |
