				| I saw that place - Mexico, New York - this past Christmas as we drove down the interstate...just before, you pass Moscow, and a little later, Peru. Original folk those upstate New Yorkers! |

Good to hear that none of you think that my passport will make it totally hopeless for me to work in Mexico. Now all I have to do is brush up on my Spanish, which was never very good to begin with...

Oh, should I practice my computer gaming skills as well? I think my brother has a 10 year old Nintendo...how's that for old? |

If he has MarioKart and Goldeneye (two of the best games ever), then please bring it with you. I'll pay good money. |

You need to go on the internet and search for "N64 emulation"... |

I remember about 5 years ago I got a part time job working the night shift alone at Subway. The cash register was a lovely little touch screen computer running on Windows 98. Everything on the machine was disabled though of course and the only thing you could possibly run was the Subway cash register program.

Simply rebooting the computer though and hitting F8 permitted me to load up MS Dos mode. They even provided me with a lovely little floppy drive!

My claim to fame is that I'm the only person who has ever played Mike Tyson's Punch-Out and Mario 3 on a Subway cash register. Nintendo emulators for the win! |

				| He does have GoldenEye - I'll start negotiations...although I'm guessing the limited space of my backpack will be a bigger problem. |

				| Itchyfeet it looks like i will be joining you for the same class at ITTO in Guadalajara that starts on june 4th. Like you I am in a similar situation, moving back to mexico to become an english teacher is something that i have been pondering ever since i left there the last time. Finally after getting everything straightened out in my life and after saving back a few extra dollars i have decided to take that plunge. I also come from a similar working background, with my most recent job as a stockbroker, so we might have some common interests with that as well. To let you know, I previously lived in Guadalajara for a period of about 1 year and have travelled there and throughout mexico on numerous occassions. Guadalajara is an awesome city. I know the city very well and would be more than willing to give you some short tours of the city. I already have set up living arrangements for myself to stay with the same family i lived with previously so i would not be looking for a roomate, however i might be able to help you out with finding something as i have many contacts throughout the city. Keep in touch. |
