I'm heading home for a spell and will need to spend a night in Shanghai. Are there any places near the airport that are decent? I've stayed at a few good places on the Bund (the Captain hostel is pretty good), but since its an early flight... |

But there are two airports now, aren't there?
Apart from the Pujiang Hotel near the Bund, I could only name a couple of cheap places near the train station (136 RMB a night, including breakfast). Just let some tout take you there. |

I'm flying from HongQiao.
Maybe someone could tell me how long it takes to get from the bund out to the airport? |

Try the East Asia Hotel,on Nanjing Rd (pedestrian mall section). If you book through www.sinohotel.com it'll be around 220 RMB per night. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk away from the Bund.
A taxi journey from the centre of town, near Nanjing Rd, to the domestic airport will probably take 30-40 minutes,or so,depending upon the traffic.
