Anyone know where I might find a good selection of books on tape IN SPANISH (actually, I need books on CDs so I can get them onto my iPod) in Mexico City?

Oops, needed to edit this as I forgot some essential information.

If you don't mind piracy, you might be able to find a lot on the net, via a bit torrent downloader.

Actually, I've discovered that iTunes has quite a few spanish-language audio books available. I think there is another website called something like audible.com where you can download books for free.

As I posted over on the General Latin American forum, I am hoping to improve my listening comprehension skills by listening to books in Spanish and reading along in Spanish at the same time. I think it would be easier if I could shop in a store where I could see what audiobooks are available and hopefully buy the paper copy at the same time.

Forgot to mention that I am looking for audiobooks in Spanish, not English.

Ghandi would be a good place to start looking...there are several of these books stores in DF.

I know you said you wanted the hard copy too, but try Project Gutenberg ( http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/languages/es ). Maybe you could get hold of the books somewhere, and listen along.

I've also replied to your other post in the LA forum.

Suerte.
