I heard that the EF in Heilongjiang's Mohe (漠河) is especially brutal. The FTs there are flogged into forming snow removal teams responsible for clearing a path to the owner's son's ice palace. Nasty little set up they have going on up there.

Try the EF currently being set up on Nix and Hydra. They're a bit of ways away, but half the airfare is covered by the company. Hours, too, aren't especially much given time difference.

Is that true? Just sounds bizarre! Razz That's the kind of thing you kind of like to hear, in a selfish way, meaning that going to China is really roughing it and taking on the wild country...

Your geographical knowledge is astonishing, to say the least!

Au contraire - Mohe'icans experience China's longest summer days although in winter they also have the nation's shortest!

Same as Scandinavians and Canadians!

I went through previous posts at Daves about EF as far as which were the bad and good ones....
If you worked at only one of those EF centers, it would be better and more helpful than just "went through previous posts at Daves about EF".

Peace to all EF discussions on daves
and
cheers and beers to all EF posts on Buxiban site Very Happy

Steppe ..your favorite source of Chinese facts...the China Daily....number 13 on the list..stepped on your tail again?

Quote:
13. The coldest in China: Mohe County of NE China's Heilongjiang Province

Mohe's average annual temperature is 4 degrees Celsius below zero, with the coldest being 52.3 degrees Celsius below zero. Minus 30 to 40 degrees is common in the wintertime. All the statistics prove Mohe as the coldest place in China. The unique aurora and polar day phenomena also distinguish the place from anywhere else in China.

Best way to explore and special tips: Try taking a horse-driven sledge. The best time to travel is from summer to autumn, but if you do travel during winter, remember: It is vital to protect yourself from the cold.
