I'm interested in Westgate's short spring/summer contract ahead of starting my MA this fall. Only issue is I'm best man at a wedding in Canada in June, right smack in the middle of the contract. Any ex-Westgaters know the prospect of getting a few extra days off around a weekend to make a quick zip outta the country?

Without wishing to be negative I would be amazed if they would let you have the extra time off. It's worth asking but when I worked for them a few years back they were absolute sticklers for doing things by the book.

Good luck anyway.....

Had a friend who worked for Westgate, and he said the same thing as the previous poster. This company is very strict about time off. In short, you have none. Period.

You might be able to get away with it if its a quick trip over a weekend. But you'd have to play the sick card to get the Friday or Monday off. However, this can be risky because they company might insist you go to a hospital if you call in sick.

You could play the family tragedy/death card, but in this case, Westgate will simply release you from your contract and send you home with a sympathy card.
