| What do the little icons to the left of the post subject mean? For example, yellow sheet of paper which gets bigger and smaller? The black lock. (I assume this means the post was locked?? but how/why does that happen??) etc. etc. |

| The sheet of paper means you can post on the thread. It's yellow if there have been new posts since the last time you visited the thread. It's white if there hasn't been any new posts. Same with the lock (it's yellow if you haven't seen the last post on the topic). |
