If you want to live a long and healthful life in Turkey, you need to abstain from certain things, it seems.

No, it doesn't "seem" at all.

The story you cite happened in Hong Kong. Precisely what is the relevance to Turkish centenarians or to living "a long and healthy life in Turkey"? Can you please give some context and comment for Turkey?

Or have you simply decided to try to start 20 (or more) threads in the month of February? As this one is the 16th, you'll probably make it. Rolling Eyes

Well, if our ghost can make the connection between Anglo-Franco teacher room relations in Quebec and Yabaci-Turk relations in schools here without actually mentioning anything about Turkey except in the headline, then I suppose the connection in this link is equally relevant.

No matter what happens in the world, no matter how obscure or seemingly irrelevant, it's always directly linked to English teachers in Turkey!

Well it seems to me that although ghosts posts are seemingly useless the information given would be equally applied to all creatures on this planet that have a gene sequence that is similar. my own instincts would tell me that a good sex life would help rather than hinder a long life but what do i know? possibly henry can give another little pedantic rant to clarify.

Ghost "seems" to be trying to start a debate, that's all. Nothing wrong with that - is there?

This Henry Cowell, I notice, seems to troll from forum to forum shooting people down. Sounds to me like a bored internet bully who wouldn't last 5 minutes in the real world..

There is a general discussion forum for, er, general discussion. I've been censured in the past for starting irrelevant threads, so why we I have to put up with this kind of irrelevant claptrap on a regular basis on a forum dedicated to Turkey is beyond me.

Why not post such info here...

Maybe if you referred to yourself in the third person, then you'd be able to distance yorself from your actions enough not to be blamed for starting such threads. Baba Alex is considering doing this.

(do you know how many warnings Baba Alex has had? NONE HA! HA! HA! HA!)

Oh, Henry is very much in the "real" world rather than stuck teaching in a third-rate private English school. He's lasted 28 years in the corporate world and he's still going quite strong. And, by the way, he does not abstain. Cool

Which of your halves has done so well?
