I would like to work in Ethiopia by August 2007. I've heard that the decent schools are run by the British. I have a B.A. in English and am certified to teach language arts for grades 8-12. Which schools should I apply for? |

I was a teacher at GYA for a year and can recommend that for several reasons. But it's not for everyone. I also know of foreign teachers who worked at Sanford but hated the job bc of the apathy of students. That may be an isolated story though. ICS requires a teaching certificate I think, and I don't have much information on that. Otherwise there is Hilltops Academy and many other private schools in Addis but I would think that getting information about them online may be difficult. Once you are there I think it is easy if you ask around or have contacts. |
