I was just thinking how sad it is that teenagers for the last 15 years or round abouts haven't had the experience of buying thier first record. I don't remember what my first cd or tape was, but buying my first record now that was a day to remember.

My first LP was the Rather Marvelous "George Best" by the Wedding Present I think. On one side, they are rather nice things to own, on the other, I do love downloading music for free. I love my MP3 player.

First record: Survivor 'Eye of the Tiger'

First cassettes (bought with the same gift certificate): The 'Footloose' soundtrack and Duran Duran 'Seven and the Ragged Tiger'

It occurred to me the other day that if I tell my son he sounds like a broken record, he'll have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.

I thought this was going to be about lesson plans - do you remeber how you sweated over your very first, only to be laughed at by the more jaded and experienced members of staff?

My first tape was the Beatles blue compilation 67-70. I was introduced to the second greatest band ever at the age of 7. Not long after, I bought a tape from a jumble sale of the best band ever - Martha And The Vandellas

Apparently there isn't any kind of a party similar to an S Club party.

I miss my Philly LPs. You have to listen Didn't I Blow Your Mind (this time) on vinyl, it's awesome.
