I worked there for two weeks when I first arrived in Poland. I think the Co-ordinator is a man called Steve.

When I was there there was an issue with pay, whereby many most teachers had not been paid for some months. This is the reason I left, I didnt want to be trapped there being drip fed.

However, I think they improved but it was 100zl of wages here and there, and there is a lot of begging to get the money you earn.

The work is all Callan and they work from some Euro grant. So the excuse they use is they wait for money to arrive before they can pay.

The pay was 25zl but with free accomodation. The accomodation was I was in (the main house) was barely adequate. There was no lock on the door and no double clazing on the ground floor window. So it was cold.

I think there is one club in Ostraleka. A pizza parlour. Inside a modern block of shops there, these close at 1400 on Saturday and thats pretty much the way they stay. Tranport to Warsaw, the nearest city is 2 hours and 45 minutes by coach, there is only one train a day. Having said that Pultusk is nice.

There is a BGZ bank, a paper factory and a water heating plant, and a big electicity pylon. Confused

There were some very poor (having not been paid) and depressed teachers.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

YI
