No, it's a symptom of my current reading material. I'm plodding my way through a lingustics book, written in very stuffy English. For example, whence just kinda pops into a sentence from time to time. It's also translated from French. Ugh! I made the mistake of only reading the cover before I bought it. I'm starved of good educational reading material, here in Madrid.
