My school has three weeks, eight hours a day and I think most of it is useless. Basicall in three weeks, I've learned that the people giving the presentations like to hear their voices.

With better organisation and focus, the training could take three days and everyone would be happier.

I saw the thread title and thought, "Hell yeah." but I thought you ment my personal training that I've recieved in the field. Now I see that you mean your school's in-house, persumibly pre school year, training. And frankly, I work at a place that hires teachers already trained. We have no in-house training because you are supposed to already know how to do the job before you arrive here. We have an orientation for new teachers, and they get pared with a "mentor" who can help them with all those little questions that come up when you're the new guy.
You should look at the pool of others who went through the training with you. Are you more qualified than the rest? Maybe that training was necessary for some of you new co-workers. If not, and you end up staying with this school for a while, next year you could offer to revamp the training schedule.

We don't do as much of this as I would like to...because yes, I think it could be useful.

But I'm not in love with the sound of my voice.

best,
Justin

It's mandatory. Most teachers have been here for years and complain about getting the same useless training every year.
