You're looking at getting paid between 17 - 30 pesos an hour. Shop around before you accept any classes. A lot of institutes will take advantage of the fact that you don't know the city well. So they will give you a couple of hours first thing in one place, and then your next class could be across the other side of the city, an hour away. Valuable time you could be teaching and getting paid! Another thing you could do is to say that you've been offered 19 elsewhere when they offer 17. They might stretch it to meet your demands. Remember you are a Native teacher! |
