Im in Mendoza, Argentina, and running into the notorious "guarantee" that landlords insist on to rent an apartment (a property owner "guarantees" to indemnify the landlord against your damages). If this keeps up, and I cant rent a decent place, Ill move on. Are there similar roadblocks to renting a place in Chile? Gracias.

Yes Bro there is. Santiago is rather expensive as well. Some landlords wanted a full year of pre paid rent. I'd say try to work it out in Argentina and try to find some landlords who aren't a$$holes. Ok that was a little strong, sorry. So far Chile hasn't presented me with much. I'll only elaborate if asked.

Best Regards,

Greg
