Is it possible to get a job teaching English in parts of the world where there is armed conflict, like Palestine? Does anyone here have any experience with that or knows anyone who has?
This is not a 'prank question' and sorry if it sounds naive but I am really curious.
I am thinking of doing some volunteer work with a humanitarian group in the Palestinian territories and know a group with which I could work ( http://www.holyland-lutherans.org/) and am seeing someone in Winnipeg about going with them. I was wondering if there are teaching oppurtunities in the Palestinian territories themselves (I know there are some in Egypt, Jordan and Israel and will be seeing 2 recruiters for a school in Egypt in 2 months).
I'm not sure if this post belongs here or in the Middle East section.
Once again I apologize if this seems like a stupid or immature question and this was not meant as a prank or trolling or anything like that.
If anyone has any suggestions/advice I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Thank you Gordon for your input. Would you know who it would be possible to contact to look into this kind of thing? Thank you. |

There are jobs on offer in beautiful, sunny, hot, southern Thailand all the time. Not only do you get the chance of getting shot (hence the constant need for teachers), but you get paid very, very little as well. It's the best of both worlds. |
