I have a quick question:
I am an american, been teaching in spain for two years, i fly home to the states once or twice a year, no problem ever getting back in to madrid, BUT, what if i flew into London and then on to Spain or another country? Do any of your long-term Americans have any advice on flying back into the EU after having blatantly overstayed your tourist visa. Like I said, I know I can fly back into Madrid no problem, but I am looking at significantly cheaper flights by coming via London. I'm just a little scared after nearly getting deported in Algeciras last Semana Santa......any advice would help! thanks!! |

How much cheaper? I've heard that London is a little stricter than the continent, so I'd be careful there. |

Don't do it. My ex did that and was refused entry into the UK because she had overstayed her Schengen visa (even though the UK isn't a Schengen member) She ended up with a huge X on her passport but got lucky as she flew back to Spain on the three Kings day to find that Spanish immigration had a holiday! |
