Not the last name, but you might have noticed that is first name is not Tomas, or Thomas, but Tomasz |

Hi everyone,
I wanted to thank all of you for responding and sharing your input on this. It doesn't sound like this a big deal, and on my resume and cover letter I will definitely include that all of my education and work experience has been in this country.
I really appreciate your help and advice on this, and I am glad there are forums like this and people like you who are willing to share their experience with others.
Take care,
Tomasz Glowacki |

I hate saying this, but it's a fact. You come from a "white" country so even if you immigrated at 16 to Canada, your native speaker status would never be questioned by most schools. If on the other hand, you are an Asian, Latino, or African born and raised in Canada, you would find it more difficult securing a position. It's just the way things work.....my wife earns half the salary of others just because she isn't white. |
