I tried to listen to the Cricket World Cup on BBC Five Live but unfortunately it can only be accessed by UK users.

Does anyone know any other internet sites where I can listen to it? Even though it is painful for a Pom these days.

Does anyone know any bars in the Osaka area where it is televised?

It's a bit technical, but if you want to go through the trouble, you might want to see if changing your proxy will help.

http://www.mapsofworld.com/cricket/world-cup-2007/tv-schedule.html

Gives you a list of the official broadcasters by region - check them out from there and see which ones havn't bothered to limit region checks. The Australian radio broadcasters used to be a good bet for that, although they tend to run on a five-ten minute delay.

If you find anyone broadcasting net radio for free let me know! Smile

There's an unofficial site called cricketworld.com I used it to listen to the Ashes, but its not so rewarding, just two Indian-sounding guys in a room commentating on the cricket that they're watching on the TV. They're good, but there's no crowd noise or atmosphere, and it seems to have a delay of couple of minutes, so don't listen to it while you have the cricinfo ball by ball updates on the screen.

There's also a site I just found where you can stream live TV called cricketon.tv/ where you can buy matches individually and stream them through your computer. I haven't tried it so I don't know about the quality, but it might be worth investing in a game or two.

Come on England!

I dunno I think I'd rather a team that lost a bit more and were a decent bunch of guys rather than a mob of are soles that you wouldn't p iss on if they were burning.

Thanks for the links. Somehow I think a hidden IP address will automatically prevent you from listening to the BBC but if I get desperate I'll give it a go.

I'll try G Cthulhu's method in the meantime but failing that I'll listen to the Indian guys broadcasting from their living room.

Assuming you mean the English team are a decent bunch of guys I think you could be right. But they have proven the old adage "Nice guys finish last" time and again.

I will tell you the way I have been doing it.

Go to www.bbc.co.uk/sport and click on the Link saying LIVE: (whatever game)

Then it will have options of looking at live text updates, etc, and should have these links at the top.

Live video scorecard with TMS commentary

Live Test Match Special audio only

Click on the one I bolded to get live radio commentary from the BBC crew. Aggers and everyone! It's supposed to be UK only but it seems to work just fine for me nearly all the time.

Pakistan look like being humiliated by Ireland.

India are already well and truly on the way to a humiliation by Bangladesh.

I love it!

A mob calling themselves "world on demand" are offering the WC as part of an overall Internet TV package. However they not only demand an arm and a leg for the privilege but several other organs.
There's plenty of pirate links out there if you know where to look but they can be dodgy.

The BBC radio feed I have been listening to is free and easy to access. Plus you get Viv Richards on commentary now and again.

And Pakistan are already eliminated from the World Cup. Laughing

Great performance by Ireland. Nice that they won on St. Patrick's Day too!

Not so great performance by my computer which still doesn't allow me to connect to the BBC commentary.

Jon Taylor, do you have to pay to watch live matches on the link you provided? I keep getting asked for my username and password.

Try this
http://www.watchcricketlive.com/livecricket/server-five.php

If it asks for the password keep on pressing cancel and it should start up.

I'm watching the England game on that link.
