Hey, everybody. I'm filing out the employment agreement for Nova and I have a question regarding the JMA insurance policy. Here's tha part I'm not clear on:
"The JMA-MSI Member acknowledges that JMA Co., Ltd., as the insurance agency, reserves the right to acquire and process all necessary documents for the insurance underwriter, hospitals, and medical facilities."
What kind of documents are they talking about? Are they talking about contacting my doctor to get a copy of my current medical records? I guess I doubt it since they didn't send along a release form asking if they can do that, but doesn't that "reserves the right" part mean I'm giving them permission if that's what they intend to do? |

It means that you giving them permission to look into your medical records and get all the information they need, in regards to a claim or preexisting medical conditions etc. |

They only look into your medical records if you have a pre-existing condition or a claim? |

Or they look into your medical records if you make a claim in the future. It's a way for them to get access to the information they need in settling insurance claims. If you're concerned about it, why don't you just ask NOVA to explain it more in detail for you? |
