I am writing this in regards to the overwhelming amount of jobs that I have found (in my research) that require a college degree. I have been a freelance production coordinator in the independent film world in NY city for a year and a half now. I am looking to broaden my horizons and teach english overseas. What are my chances of finding decent work and living conditions with no teaching experience or degree? Any productive insight will be greatly appreciated. |

After I have a TEFL certificate should I have any problem finding my first job? After working that first job will other schools possibly overlook my lack of a degree and focus on my experience instead? |

Problem is, you need a degree to get a teaching license and thus a one year visa; it'a a catch 22. |

I'd say not very good. At this point in time it is not that easy to make a good living teaching English in Thailand even if you have a degree and experience.
Have you researched opportunities in other countries such as China? |
