Dave's does not have a forum on Malaysia so I decided this was as close as I could get.
Any one know about salary for teaching at an International College or University in Kuala Lumpur????
I am going to teach English and am from the USA.
All information and help is really appreciated. By the way how is the living there in general? I understand it is very modern and Westernized. Can you confirm?

| I don't know what the British and Australian universities pay, but they don't like to hire Americans, at least not for EFL. Local universities pay about $1000/mo. or so if you're lucky. And no, Malaysia is NOT dirt-cheap like Cambodia or someplace. |

Well, it's not as expensive as LA, either.
Do you already have a job? Where are you going to be? KL is vastly different than Penang, and more so than Kota Kinabalu. |
