Turn off your caps lock.
You're in that grey zone. The 100% legal jobs need a degree, but you'll find plenty in more remote areas and in English schools that will take you.
If the school of your choice can provide you with:
- valid residence status
- included accommodation and utilities
- a salary that is average for an FT in those parts [this varies: rural areas pay lower but also have lower COL]
- reasonable hours
then you could consider that, given your lack of qualifications, you have a decent job. |

Nine posts and I think they've all been to start new threads. I'd suggest reading the forums since the questions that you've asked are beaten to death on a monthly basis. |

In a word, yes.
I work very few hours, share a large 4 bed house with one other teacher, have air con and net in my room with all electric paid ( I have to pay for gas)
my salary, if calculated daily...is enough to buy me three meals a day in the towns 5* hotel, enjoy a pampering in a posh spa, and gives me more than enough change for odds and ends.
Im not sure I could work for 10 hours a week in the UK and have so much disposable income....not that I do spend my money as mentioned above...but it gives you an idea!
I know its easy to make typo's when you are online...esp if you type quickly....but you really need to make sure your spelling is correct in the classroom though....Im sure everyone has made a mistake on the blackboard....but you can feel foolish if the students have to correct you! |
