have you inquired about other FTs working there, past or present? asked that university to put you in contact with them?

Yes, thanks I've just requested that from them. I couldn't find anything on the SEARCH facility here so I thought I'd ask in the forum as well.

do a google search for the name of that university, the english language website will come up (if you havent already seen it).

I just left that city from a vacation. I can tell you I will never go back. The city sucks. The day my friend and I arrived we could not stay in two hotels because we weren't Muslim. When we did find a hotel they tried to increase the price because we were foreigners. Then the next day we found a very nice little place to eat andwhen we walked in they made us leave, again because we weren't Muslim. Then we asked diections from a police man, he gave us directions into a small alley area, and as we were wondering which way to go, the police man and some other men came in. We were corneered and they asked us for money to leave. My friend is 6 feet 3 inches and both of us lift weights daily etc... we looked at each other and simply thought, "if they want our money an ass wooping comes with that" after a long arguement and the physical show of power we managed to free ourselves from the situation. We then gathered our things from the Hotel and left the city. I can say, it was the worst place I have been to in China in the years I have been here. FOOOK that place.
