I think I was comparing . My context was -

It is more easy (to start exams earlier rather than later)

I explained my reasons then just said 'it's more easy '

So I was comparing starting exams earlier rather than late .

dui bu dui ?

sheeba,
With that context, I can say that you essentially fouled things up royally.

You didn't really use the comparative correctly for "easy". Pretty simple rule for a word ending in Y, and certainly a very commonly used word (easier).

You also mixed the two formats for comparative structure -- er vs more, and "more X than Y adjectives".

Personally, I'd say you were wrong all around, and the other person was right in telling you that.
