Anyone have any info on Jiu Jitsu schools in Japan?

Either BJJ or Japanese Jiu Jitsu.

Thanks.

Ha ha!

Don't get me wrong but that really is a long shot isn't it. Asking a forum full of sweaty, fat, chainsmoking, red-faced, balding, ugly, alcoholic geeks if they know about ju jistsu classes?

I'm not sure but I think that aikido and nin-jitsu are the rage these days. You could always try Googling the name of the school you were after.

I have seen a Brazilian JJ school just down the road - not sure if its a Gracie school though.

I know a guy in Osaka that does BJJ in the evenings a couple times a week. It's the same gym Maeda (that fought in Pride) goes to. And there are a few others that fight in the other Shooto promotions etc. I'll try and get the name and contract information of the gym if you're really interested.

Your community center might, but 99% don't! Rolling Eyes

Miyazaki,

Wrong forum to ask about MMA or BJJ.

Go to
http://www.e-budo.com/

or

http://www.jiu-jitsu.net/cgi-bin/addacad.pl

Okay, markle. The smoking part doesn't apply to you.

Scratch off alcoholic and smoking for me too, hopefully not ugly either, but I am biased.

Pff, I'm a thin, non-smoking, pasty-faced, luxuriantly-haired, handsome, semi-not-quite-alcoholic geek.

And if there's one thing that life has taught me, it's that Japan is nothing like 7 Samurai. Sad
