Hello,
Can someone tell me if it is typical for a school to ask for copies of degrees/certificates sent via e-mail as part of the application process.
Thanks! |

Depends, some do. In CHina they wanted copies.
Here in Peru, they don't trust email. You have to go through a long ordeal of getting everything legalised, stamped, translated and stamped and restamped and notarized. My degree is covered in stamps. |

I just applied for a job in Hungary...they were asking for copies of degree/certificate via e-mail. I was paranoid so I just sent my C.V. and asked the to let me know if they need more info. I figure that type of documentation should be requested when they're ready to give an offer. |

Application processes will vary from country to country. Copies of diplomas and such are usually required for work visas, but some employers would just like to see the parchment (or copy thereof), despite the relative ease of getting fake degrees these days.
I suggest you ask this in the General Europe forum. |

It's not unusual to want to see a copy of the degree. I have all my qualifications and testimonials scanned, and routinely send them out with CVs. |
