hi.

for those of you in SP... how does it sound a small apt (studio, 30m2, clean, washing machine...) in the center (or 2 subway stops from it) for EUR 600/month? can you find something like that nowadays?

and, how about living with 700-800 EUR/month (excluding housing) for food, enterteinment...? could you save something?

im planing to go to SP for a few months and im just trying to make a budget for it...

thanks a lot!

I'll just say life is a lot more expensive than it was even a few years ago. If you're only clearing 200 euros above rent you won't be saving money imo unless you live a really Spartan lifestyle. Even then, I don't think so. If you clear 400, then you can start thinking about saving, but it won't be much. At 600 you can pack away that last 200, and so on. It's just that food is more expensive than you'd think, bus and metro tickets are almost half a euro for one trip now (in Moscow) and you need some cash to get by.

meister... you got me confused... kinda gave 2 different budgets... 550-600 eur for a studio in a central area (max 2 metro stops away) and then another 650 eur for living... so, lets say 1300 eur/month, provided i will be spending almost 1/2 on the rent...

hope that clarifies the issue here... sorry, im not eng native speaker...
