Hi,
Long time reader, first time poster.
I'm just about to move out to Costa Rica to become an English teacher and plan to have a nice relaxing first week to settle before looking for work. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any festivals or unmissable activities happening in the country over the Easter week?
Aside from a couple of days in SJ, I currently have a very flexible schedule...
I'd also be extremely keen to hear from anyone aware of any current teaching vacancies (long shot, I'm sure).
Many thanks,
Mark. |

Whatever you do during Easter, I advise staying in one place! There are way too many traffic fatalities during Holy Week because everyone is driving like a madman in order to get to the beach or back to San Jose in one day.
About employment options, the most important question is this: are you legal to work in Costa Rica? If you aren't, you will find a lot of information about your options on this message board. If you are, then a whole new set of options opens up for you, and you generally have to be in-country with local contacts to find out about them. |
