Japan uses 100v AC electric, whereas I understand Taiwan uses 120v. Does anyone know if it will be safe to recharge my laptop bought in Japan without an adaptor? I've searched the net and haven't come up with anything. I know you can do it the other way around. Does 10v make that much difference?

Most modern laptops have built in converters in the power cords. Check your power cord for a rectangular box, usually black, attached to it. Read the back of it and it should tell you its capabilities. |
