|
|
My partner and I have been offered jobs in Paris aswell as jobs in Madrid. We quite fancy Paris but after reading this forum we're not sure whether we can afford to live there. We've been offered 1600 euros net per month. Is this enough to live on? We live quite frugally but we do need to save a certain amount per month.
Our classes will be mainly in the West, can anyone recommend a decent area to live in, ie not too expensive but a nice area.
Answers are appreciated. |

1600 each or between the two of you?
There is not really anywhere in Paris that is "not too expensive" and a "nice area"
I'm not sure that anyone can live "quite frugally" in Paris either
A few more details might help people to give you a more detailed answer |

Ha! That's each, we wouldn't consider if it was between us! So 3200 euros between two per month, doable? |

cheers, that's good to hear.
So any advice on what area to start looking for apartments? Is 700 euros a month a sensible price for an apartment for a couple?
Oh, and another question: how much is a travel pass on the metro? The company have offered to pay half the cost of one. |

Check out www.ratp.com and get all the prices for the different passes. You'll also see route maps. |
