Many big cities have a university that specialises in foreign studies. That kind of place will hire native speakers of other languages on a full-time basis, though the fact there are a limited number of openings might make them a little pickier on qualifications.

Demand for other languages is growing, though it is still small. In many big cities there would be part-time opportunities in languages like French, German and Spanish.
