Would anyone here mind sharing their experience taking the CELTA at the Budapest IH? |

Yep,
I did my CELTA at IH Budapest and would very much recommend it!
I learnt a lot and the teacher trainers and other staff there were all really friendly and committed.
I did the course last year and IH was really supportive in helping me find work. As a result I'm still in Budapest now. |

Is this the one on Bimbo utca? I visited them. Seemed to be competent in that "I don't wannnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" Eastern European way. Can't speak for the CELTA course since I did mine in Beijing with an amazingly prescient gent who told stories of muggings in Venezuela. |

I did the CELTA at IH Budapest in April 2003 and can honestly say it was a great experience. The two trainers (Mike and Neil) were excellent, we had a huge amount of in-class teaching time, the feedback was to the point, and there was good information about placement at schools in Hungary.
Having said that, any school is only as good as its people. I don't know if the CELTA trainers from 2003 are still there. I do know that the different IH schools have varying reputations, both for the quality of their teaching and for the quality of the CELTA courses they offer. |

Hi this is a little late for the original request but for any others out there, I have just finished my CELTA at IH Budapest. It was a really good course, I enjoyed it and the people at the school are really friendly and helpful (and yes Neil is still there). From what I have heard of CELTA experiences from other people, the Budapest course is a lot better than most. |
