Multiple exit visa is 500 Riyals for 6 months. There is normally no charge on the Bahraini side. I do not know if TINS let you have a multi-exit visa. The bus from Dammam/Khobar is 50 Riyals. A taxi is 300 Riyals but can take 3 of you.
Bahrain is a bit pricey. |

You mentioned a bus. How safe would you consider that? |

It is near the local campus of King Faisal U.
Buses are used by locals and are probably safer than other methods of transport. Received wisdom is that the crazies are reluctant to target anything where locals might be injured or killed.
However if you are nervous about security I think you would be better not to come to KSA. This is not a place for the faint-hearted. |

I simply want to arm myself with the ability to make informed decisions. |

Incognito: If you are one of the sort who is quiet and stays home a lot then TINS might not be a bad choice for cash. I would think that they pay more than 10000 SR per month.
Can anyone verify how much new people are getting for the TINS gig? |

When I heard how lousy things have become in my old KSA job, I started wondering about this TINS gigs. a change of scenery!
Not to contradict wise old Churchill, Mr. Scott, but I can do without both RUM and sodomy (am not judging others, now)
and the lash?? ... well ...umm... let's stay focused here
I am more the type that needs exercise, like a treadmill or place to jog or a pool. Nothing like being exhausted to distract you from the absence of women. I imagine the WEB is filtered and by dial-up?
...and Bahrain is nearby, right? sounds like Babylon after life in Riyadh.
So how about the sporty life at TINS? any good word, gents? Do they insist that one is a Brit or a USer or such?
where do I apply?
also, am quite used to the military gig. I DID READ chuckd74's previous long list of how ...um , nice word here....how "lacking" the shebab and the job can be. what I've come to expect in this milieu.
...time to start selling the car?
cheers, T. Mura |

Fear not. You just get used to it. Before long your libido fades away, like those pandas in captivity. (At least they get panda porn; their captors are far more liberal and sympathetic than ours.) |

Van, be carefull with Torpak, it is hosted by a hacker group mafia which can steal your private information from your PC. Watch where you click your mouse !
Also check Torpark with 'r'. |

Should have been torpark with an 'r'. Problem is its deadly slow and crashes Zone Alarm.
Also doesn't let you use another version of Firefox simultaneously (using IE7 simultaneously would no doubt solve that problem).
All Onspeed does is compress graphics (not necessarily what you'd want for porn). It offers a fifty per cent speed increase, but only for certain sites. And it costs money.
Torpark routes everything through its servers, as OneSpeed does. Any information you access through either is viewable by their servers, but then you are hardly going to be stupid enough to use either for online banking. |

I've been using Onspeed for 3 years and I've never had anything blocked. Images are fine. |

I'm rarely bothered about blocked sites, though the blanket blocking of flickr sites is becoming a nuisance.
Onspeed's selling point is speed; getting round national censorship is a side-effect. I'd keep quiet about it in case the Saudis decide to block the Onspeed servers. Torpack servers change so often they can't be blocked, because the whole point of torpack was to beat Chinese government censorship. |
