I'm an English teacher currently teaching in Prague. I was hoping to teach at a summer camp here in Europe for a month or 2 this summer to make a little extra money. The problem is that I'm American and I'm having a hard time finding any camps that hire Americans. So....
Does anyone know of any English summer camps in the USA or Canada that hire Americans?
It's frustrating that I'm wanting to work but simply can't because I'm American!
Thanks in advance for any help you can give! |

Unless you already applied for a visa to work in Canada, you will not get a job here. Bureaucracy is heavy here and a summer camp job would probably be more suitable for a student looking for a summer job (i.e. low salary)
I know that there are a lot of summer camps here in Quebec but they usually hire local English Teaching students or local teachers who just need a little extra money for summer. |

This might be a useless suggestion, because I don't know the work visa situation for Americans. But I remember that Malta was something of a summer-English-camp mecca - a little research in that direction might be worthwhile. |
