Does anybody here notice how conceited and annoying it is to deal with female doctors over here? Nurses are cows, too. I have only dealt with them for minor conditions, but I certainly wouldn't go to one for something serious. They have really snotty tones of voice and mannerisms, and seem to want to condescend to the patient. I detested the last one I saw. Anyone else have observations?

My wife just spent three days in the hospital recovering from an infection. The head nurse for the floor was a complete ***** who spent most of her time bitching people out for not keeping things clean and tidy. The other nurses were nice, though.

What I found most bizarre though was one nurse who never wore surgical gloves when inserting/removing IV lines, and simply wiped the blood off her bare fingers with tissue. Good grief.

A couple years ago, I was in St. Vincent De Porres' emergency ward, in Chiayi, with a couple of busted ribs. The staff was very nice, so much so that they pushed me all the way up into the corner on the other side of the ward, away from everyone else.

The doctor ordered an intravenous painkiller, but the nurse couldn't find a vein on my hand. Which is odd considering the tops of my hands have several large veins that can be seen a mile away by a blind man.
