What is the going rate in CR for New teachers fresh with a CELTA Cert and Bachelors degree?
I heard $600+ a month 24hr week?
What is the word on the street?

600 sounds about right. I'm working on fairly low pay and will end up on somewhere between 450 and 500 per month, not sure exactly. But even that's enough to live comfortably. |

Thanks brotha. where are your teaching at and what is your back ground? I am going to get a klr 650 to get to class quick, so I don't have to live in San Jose. I wonder if you can get good wages outside San Jose? I am thinking of grabbin a place in Orosi Valle ouside Paraiso. $200 month/2 br? Cheers  |

You can get good salaries outside San Jose, but those jobs are generally harder to get, since a lot of people want them (especially the beach jobs, go figure). Don't know much about that topic, though. |
