Besides, some of us think it's harder to read.

No I've only taught in the Middle East.. If I worked in Japan why would I be posting in the Middle East section?

And yes it does look like screaming...

And yes it is harder to read...

And it does reflect very negatively on you and your attitudes. It makes you appear to be very young and very immature - just like the young girls in my classes.

Emoticons serve a purpose. Typed prose can be misinterpreted because of the loss of facial expression and vocal tone. They allow you to show that you mean something humorously.

Sorry, Mr Rabbit, but I find your extremely large font extremely irritating. People have dropped you enough hints about why it's not a good idea to use it, but obviously, as someone who's new to the forums, you know best. Rolling Eyes

I agree everything VS says ...

Nothing wrong with it, I like it, aesthetically is fine., and technically is OK.
This is a forum, and everybody is free to use his preferable style, font, avator, etc.
Also it may help some people who are with low Vision.
Mr rabbit you have used something outside the routine.

So, what do you think about my coloured text? Laughing

007, you're responses are getting more and more annoying. Stick to being helpful will ya?

If someone has bad eyesight, this won't help. There are other ways to make the screen easier to read. This is not easy to read.

Use avator is good. Berry good. Freedom for my people!!

In my travels on the internet, I notice a strong correlation between poor habits of orthography and grammar, on the one hand, and a penchant for enthusiastically tarting things up, on the other.

Could this be a coincidence?

Ill use this type face, you use emoticons and we respect each others individuality.

Fonts are not chosen to respect your individuality, they are chosen to respect the reader's convenience. Large numbers of readers have said that your choice of font and font size makes your posts difficult to read. Listen to them.

Greetings Ghost

Are you really in Korea?

Yes, Korea is where I live and work at this time. Why is that surprising?

Korea is not a place I will stay for the rest of my career in TEFL.

Life is short and there are many places in the world I would like to live and work in. Korea is a mere stepping stone to other places. And I intend to make the most of my stay here.

One more thing - I am generally more impressed with the setup in Korea, in comparison with my experience in Taiwan in 2005-2006. Korea can be an interesting place to work for a year or two.

As I recall, you were in Turkey for awhile. I like that you have switched to first person narrative. Cool

Hello Ghost!

Yes, I imagine Korea is a very interesting place. I suggest that you take a lot of videos while you are there. I always feel that video catches the real feel of a place as apposed to photos. I have taken many in the places that I have been and I fancy I have become pretty good. Im looking for a good video manipulation application for windows so I can add titles and such. One day you will look back on Korea with fondness.

And as for you 007. thanks for the support!!! And yes, I DO like your colorization of the letters. Very FLASHY! Very sheik! You must have artists in your family and you must be very well dressed!

Now I noted you named yourself after the James Bond character. Here is something that you may not know about that social icon. I'll start with a question: What does broccolis have to do with James Bond?

Well, the vegetable broccoli wasn't always with us. I believe it's a hybrid between spinach and collie flower. An Italian botanist, a Mr. Broccoli, created this hybrid and made millions. He also was an Ian Fleming fan, the author of the well-known James Bond series. And GUESS what he did with his millions? He was the producer of the James Bond movies that we all love and enjoy!

I once met a man online who called himself James Steel. As we got to know each other, it became apparent to me that his name was made up. I queried him and he told me reluctantly that his name was really... James Bond. He was born in the early 60's to Mr. and Mrs. Bond, and they thought James would be a very nice name for their son. When their friends and family heard their choice of names they laughingly told them that there was a spy movie whose hero sported the same name. The mother told them that after a year or two the movie will be forgotten. Little did she know.

Well hello Spicegirl! Its an honor to meet you! I love your music! Please, no need to be formal here on this forum, just call me Jack.

And greetings to you Bindair.

Judging from your name and the New English dialect that you use, I assume you are from the sub continent. I fancy myself an expert of the different linguistic varieties of the global phenomena of the New Englishes and your interesting alteration of the word very being substituted by the word berry tells me that you come from the fruit belt in Southern Goa.

I welcome you to this tread: Birds Eye View of Qatar.

Instead of addressing the very valid concerns of others here, you carry on and completely ignore them.

Very considerate of you.

To everyone who is concerned about my large print.

I have decided to carry on and express myself as I please. In other words, large print. I really am not stepping on anyones toes. If you don't like what I'm doing, just don't read me. Simple. I believe there will be some of you who don't really care what my font size is. And we will continue to communicate as we wish.

I'm not going to change here, no matter what you type, but I know that you aren't being hurt, simply due to the fact you DON'T have to read me.

Now relax. Enjoy the forum Dave has been so kind to give us, along with all its various options.

I hope I have made my self understood?
