Does anybody know where it went? The one in Kao Sarn Rd. They'r renovating the street, or demolishing it? Does anyone know if the books have moved elsewhere? They have the best selection in Bangkok!

^ Hi

I called the number listed on their webpage today - no answer.

You could try e-mailing them at [email protected]

Chulalongkorn Book Store (Siam Square) and D.K. Books @ MBK

are worth checking out. Kinokuniya has a nice selection too,

conveniently located on the 3rd floor of Siam Paragon.

funny, i never visit this forum....but came to look up some info and saw this post. i was just down there yesterday, specifically to go to the bookstore and yes, it seems to be gone. there will probably be an asia books put in it's place!
i am a bibliophile and shamen was my favorite bookstore in bangkok....what a loss.
good suggestions from the guy with the chang beer label for his avatar....but, though kinokuniya has a great selection it's EXPENSIVE......the other's....not as good a selection. i ended up going across town to dasa. good used bookstore--owned by an american guy i think--but just not the same old, dusty, used bookstore feel or selection that shaman had. when i was there--dasa-- some woman in her 50's was selling a stack of mystery, romance crap......yea....!
happy reading everyone........
Wink
