Hey,
Anybody know of a good resource for getting lists of conversation questions broken up into different topics? besides http://iteslj.org/questions/
Thanks. |

www.eslpartyland.com/teachers/nov/conv.htm (scroll down). Less choice of topics than iteslj and some overlap, but good topics and questions nonetheless.
I find Yahoo Answers to be a good source of questions. I make the students write their answer in pairs and then vote for the class's best answer. Then they can compare their answers with the ones online. It's a good conversation class activity, but also it makes good preparation for a full essay/composition writing task - it helps the class brainstorm ideas and activates their knowledge of a topic. They can also post their answers online if they want and if their answers are good. |

A bit hard to get students to engage in conversations if they don't know some basic phrases and expressions for various situations. Try www.eslgold.net/speaking/phrases.html |
