				| By the time we go to Europe, I shoudl have an MA in TEFL and about seven years teaching experience. Would I be able to get a job as a teacher trainer?
IH seems to have lots of CELTA courses. Are there any idependent courses that aren't in Warsaw?

Any idea what their requirements are?

				| Those that I've known who have become trainers had:
 The DELTA

Some experience in giving input/training/teacher support

They then sat in on a minimum of three CELTA courses; the first as basically a silent observer with some written tasks, the next taking some of the input and giving some of the feedback and the third as second tutor. They were assessed and had assignments to do after which they were considered trained up (I guess you could also be failed although none of them were)

This was through IH so the school was able to organise them to sit on CELTA courses but, as an individual I think you would probably have to pay the course runners to be trained up. One woman who didn't want to do it through IH (because the deal was to then run courses during the summer for a few years at a lower pay rate) managed to observe / train up on courses in England run by her old DoS. She also did it in only two courses rather than three. If you have any contacts in teacher training, they are the people to work on.

I don't know much else. I took one look at the application form and gave up, I'm afraid.

				| That sounds daunting. I figured Cambridge would be difficult. What about smaller, independent organisations? What are some in Poland? | |
