? Because the real world is not a sterile, segregated, theocratic prison.

Um, yeah, the UAE - now there is a real earthy place, throbbing with history and culture. Respect for all human life, especially that of Asian migrant workers, a thriving democracy and free press, a real work ethos among the locals - all of these things, admittedly, are in short supply in the UAE. What you will doubtless find, however, are Russian hookers by the dozen, racism as a way of life, the gormless unemployed wives of equally gormless white expats, and a foolish elite who seem to really believe that, if they allow US warships to dock in their ports and make the right noises about 'dialogue' with Israel, the white man will accept them.

Not a chance.
