I wonder..are the TESCO stores like Carrefour? (Where you can buy groceries, etc.) If yes, where in Taipei are they located?
Thanks |

Yes, they are like Carrefour and they sell BAKED BEANS!! which is fantastic if you're from the UK.
My info is out of date, but when I left four years ago there was only one and that, I believe, was in Taoyuan. My wife and I would ride over from Neihu (the other side of Taipei) just to get a few bits from home (UK) that you couldn't get in Carrefour and Costco.
Worth the trip. |

Tesco IS Carrefour. Carrefour is taking over most if not all of their stores in Taiwan. |

Yup, the tesco in Taoyuan is now a carrefour too. Alas, no baked beans there (but you can get all sorts of crazy french stuff, if that's what you desire) anymore, but you can get them in the super dooper wellcome in the FE21 there though. |

Yeah, the Tesco stores in Taiwan have all been converted, part of a swap between Tesco and Carrefour (Tesco received stores in another country). Tesco has fully pulled out of Taiwan. It was a shame as I liked some of the items I could get there. |
