If you are currently tutoring ESL in any Eastern European country, would you mind sharing how much the going rate is where you are? Thanks! |

Going rate for what? How much schools charge? How much they pay? Or are you referring to private tutoring?
Most companies/schools in Bucharest charge their clents between 20 and 30 Euro per hour. |

I think you know what Prigorka is asking. I was in Prague last year and earning 330 Cz krowns an hour. That's about as good as it gets i think. At that time there were 40 CZK - 1 pound.
I'd be interested to hear some real figures from other places around there. |

I wasn't being funny, I really wasn't sure.
For privates I charge 15 Euro an hour (plus taxes if they want an invoice)
For the first school I worked at I was getting about 10 Euro an hour, and at another place I worked for 12 Euro an hour. |

It was a little vague,
It depends on the school, or the private or if you are tutoring a group etc. In Poland (not Warsaw) you should be able to get about 12-16 Euro an hour for individual privates. or if you charge a bit less (12) you will get lots of students. for schools you are subject to there rates but probably around 12-14 hour. |

Though Lithuania is quite central, I'd offer my two cents. Individual 1,5h lesson is 60 litas (1 euro=3.4 litas). Group lessons get discounts to 30lt per person for 1,5h. Business English rates depend on the course. |

In Bulgaria private sessions will get you from 2 Euros an hour to around 8. Slim pickings. |

2500 Hungarian Forints ($14.60 USD) for 45 minutes, though I may bump it up to 3000. |

where they come to me - $20 plus/hour depending on what their level/objective involves.
If you travel then - $25 plus.
Group lessons I divide the rate by the number of students up to 3 then the 4th, 5th, etc. is additional profit. So a $25/hour lesson group of 4 pays $8 each = $32. |
