Nope, don't like it, in looks, and in functionality.

I have tried it, and it feels very restrictive in the lower half.

It is often worn by those who have decided to 'revert' to the 'one true faith'.

Not necessarily, I know some Arab Christians wear Khamis and thobes, because they find it more comfortable in hot weather.

Of course we know that you are a woman! Laughing

The difference between men and women in KSA, is that the Saudi black Abaya is obligatory to all women, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, colour, status, employed/unemployed, eye colours, etc, etc!
What an equality and 'democracy' to see our respected ladies are equal, at least in 'facade', under the Saudi laws! Laughing

Men in Saudi, enjoy your freedom of not wearing Saudi clothes! .

Baed on what the OP has asked, it would appear as though it was aimed at men and and women. Furthermore, some women do not wear abaya or hijab in Saudi Arabia, or get around it by wearig extremly short or tight or wide open abayas to and from work, with no hijab or head scarf. Thus Cleo's response was a valid one.

Tight or wide open abayas... that I can live with. Short ones, however..... well, they're just plain tacky.
